I'm proud to call this my virtual home because this is who we are - friends working together,
embracing all living beings, rejoicing with open hearts and open minds.

though many of us are liberal activists, I call firefly home because this is not a political blog,
and though many of us hold faith deep in our hearts, I call firefly home because this is not a religious blog.

though we come from all walks of life and span all generations, I call firefly home because of our diversity -
our capacity to share even our most personal experiences, our mutual support and the outpouring of compassion found here.

though we each have different goals and dreams, unique challenges and sufferings,
I call firefly home because when one of us has reason to celebrate, we all celebrate - and when one of us is suffering, we all suffer together.

hope all's well with you and Laurie! I was talking with a friend last week (he's in the Giant's front office now after a great career) and let him know that I have a friend that I met online who's a Giants fan... he promised to bring me some official t-shirts and a signed baseball for ya the next time he's in PR (no name dropping, you'll just have to wait and see :O)  I think about ya every time I take a look at my signed baseball from his hall of fame ceremony - I'll leave it to ya if I croak first!
