OCCUPY NANTES *Occupy Nantes: the new camp outraged / disgusted (photo diary)
(this is in french. it says: We do not loose anything. Take Back our street, we reclaimed our lives. After a series of intimidation, lies, harassment, arrests and other controls by the police nantes (photo 1) for a week, campers of the People's Square, formerly the Place Royale decided in a due to the disorder-pressure-cops to move their camp to Hotel Dieu (next to Skate Park). The police strategy is to offset the camp and put under pressure to eliminate the movement: for now, it's not. On the contrary: a big couple of tents, sofas, barbecue and even a yurt is located just steps from the tram stop in front of the fresco of Royal de Luxe (photo 2). As the Place Royale, the public space has been reclaimed (photos 3, 4, 5, 6, 7). Since the camp outraged / disgusted was removed in favor of the Christmas market capitalist mercantile shed better than Christmas, would fight a cabin under construction (photo 8) ... The camp is in the grip of police pressure. Solidarity is needed. Feel free to spend sleeping, exchange, you rebel ...
Guardian: Greek police fire teargas at protesters - video (11.17.11) Police in Athens fired teargas as thousands of Greeks protested against further austerity measures after the new national unity government was confirmed. The annual rally, marking a bloody student uprising on 17 November 1973, often becomes an opportunity for other protests. Unions said they would use the rally to demand the new government reverse the policies that they say sent Greece into a 'death spiral'
*Behind the scenes of OWS-INfocus-11-06-2011 We have heard a lot about what they stand for but not how they organized to make this happen. This occupation runs like a village with lots of participation from a diverse group of articulate people. "Behind the scenes of occupy Wall Street is an organization that is pretty invisible. It is decentralized, it's bottom up and it's organized into working committees," editor of the Mediachannel.org, Danny Schechter says. In this edition of the show we will take you behind the scenes of Occupy Wall Street to show you how it all works.
