Tonight I`m going with a pictorial on an

OIL SLICK

KNUCKLEHEAD :: FIREFLY FLYING

Maybe that`s a misleading title but follow me please.
The following shots are of a reef I shot at my friend`s VIVID AQUARIUM shop.
The oil slick or what I`d like to call "the catastrophe in the gulf, (so far)" is what could put an end to the underwater beauty of a natural reef.
Please click on the last one & go to "original" size to see what ten shots merged to a single image of this 14 foot reef tank, looks like.
Then compare that to miles & miles of real life reefs in danger of being annihilated.

these are gorgeous pictures
and yes, this gulf gusher has already killed so much life
so many think of the birds, turtles... even shrimp & oysters but...
mrD & i were just talking of how the first casualties were the unseen bits, the plankton & tiny tiny animals that the others feed on. breaking the life chain, causing so much unnecessary destruction.

I just saw these comments.
Between dealing with my friend`s familial problems, being devastated by the gulf "gusher" & moving my daughter & granddaughters to a new safer place, I overlooked an essay I just complained about not having more viewers.

no one has to say a thing, there is nothing that can change the road we are on. I just needed to vent, I am sorry. I go through such a gambit of emotions to feeling numb and lost. It is all OK and normal. My sister is on her way and my brother will be here shortly.
