Hi RiaD. Nice place. I wanted to make a post to support your efforts, here. Sorry it's not "opinion intensive", but I think it's interesting.

Here ya go...

U.S. researchers unveiled a vehicle Thursday that earns money for its driver instead of guzzling it up in gasoline and maintenance costs.
Timbuk3 :: New Electric Car Pays For Itself
The converted Toyota Scion xB, shown at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science here, is the first electric car to be linked to a power grid and serve as a cash cow.

"This is the first vehicle that's ever been paid to participate in the grid -- the first proof of concept vehicle," Ken Huber, who oversees technological development at wholesale electricity coordinator PJM Interconnection, told AFP.

Pretty cool, and developed just a few miles form where I live. I want one. ;->

follow the link above (8.00 / 3)
it goes to his virtual store...
across the top (or on the left) are categories you can browse thru...
you'll need a bean grinder as he only sells whole bean coffee- (to keep the flavour the freshest possible!)

be careful- it's VERY addictive!

I hope you like it, Kathleen (8.00 / 3)
The aged Sumatran was a rare find. I have one pound left, and no leads on where to find more.

I don't want to turn this reply into a commercial...

The problem is, I'm really interested in this. I'm not there, yet, but at some point I'd like to be able to say "roasting coffee is my imma life."

I just ordered some new varieties of green beans. I hope you like what you receive. And I'm really grateful to you for giving me a chance to send you some things you've maybe never tasted, before.

Thanks.

Do not be shy about your passion (6.67 / 3)
this is one of Ria's purposes for creating this site is to support people who are doing it right.

This is how we get change by walking the walk hand in hand.

Thank you for being one of the good guys who puts a dream into action.

There is nothing I love more than to walk into a coffee shop and smell the beans roasting.  My husband's family lives in Utah and we were hard pressed for a good cup of coffee (as hard to find in Utah back then as a beer)we were walking in Salt Lake and stumbled on a coffee shop we walked in and felt instantly at home, the aroma enveloped us like a warm blanket we pulled out our books and stayed for at least 4 hours.  LOL

My daughter (7.00 / 2)
always goes to smell the beans that are in bins in the stores.  She loves to smell the beans. She hardly ever drinks coffee though.

[ Parent ]
When we visit relatives in Utah (7.00 / 2)
being Mormons they don't drink coffee so be bring our coffee pot and coffee along with us, if we plan to stay over night, they love to smell it brewing in the morning.

There is something about the richness of the smell that is divine!

From Wikipedia (8.00 / 2)
Owl City is an American synthpop musical project by Adam Young. Young started out making music in his parents' basement in Owatonna, Minnesota, later developing a following through his MySpace profile before being signed to Universal Republic.
