| I took this series of pictures in about 5 minutes. it is a very tiny snap shot of the evening. At this point people were still coming and the late comers never saw the video but signed the letter.
The coolest thing about the party was the range of ages from 9th graders to college age, and 40ish to 60ish boomers. The video created an interesting discussion with all the young people joining in. I was surprised at how aware and concerned they were, it gave me hope (not an easy thing to do these days).
This shot was taken over the island into the kitchen.
On the other side of the room......
These guys are waiting for the video, we didn't show it until everyone who was there had eaten.
A couple of the ninth graders...
My son and some of his friends....
My son and one of my best friends, she is on the phone giving directions...
My brother and the love of his life.....
A couple more of my best friends...... (there are 4 of us that do everything together, their husbands are the ones waiting for the movie, the 8 of us have taken family vacations together for years, our sons have been best friends since kindergarten)

Arriving and ready to party.....
My candle lighter....... the doors to the right of her is my mom's room.. she slept through all of it. She has glass doors so I could peek in on her with them closed and not disturb her, I put curtains up to give her more privacy on my side of the doors....
The cook keeping a close watch on the chicken and burgers....
Catchup on the face of a 9th grader......

It was a great night full of joy, we are blessed to have great friends and family with kids that don't mind being with us. How much better can it get?
