| Our journey begins with a trip to the ATM, and then a bus ride down Hawthorne to 12th. Need coffee (no not here, I just like this building) and a bagel...
Let's hit Kettleman's...
Okay, fueled and ready to go!
Nah, I couldn't afford a family even if I wanted one... ;)
We're getting there (who knows this walk?)...
Boom! Here we go...
Waiting for the parade. Have some BBQ'd flowers in the meanwhile?
Yeah, it's all about finding shade today...
Here they come!
Good FSM, that that... that's Mayor Sam Adams' music!
The Mayor has a posse. Btw, this is my new goal in life - I want to one day go for a pedicab ride and have numerous people following behind, carrying block letters spelling out "JAY". ;)
Here comes MAS! Oh wait, never mind...
Hear the drummer(s) get wicked...
Random randomness, with an "Awwww" shot or two....
Ceiling Man approves...
Okay roof, whatever...
Let's go check out some of the booths.
Know your yoga!
Time for lunch.
let's hit one of my favorite taco trucks...
2 cabeza and an al pastor, please..
Oh hey, "Happy Birthday to... wait get back here I wasn't finished singing to you yet!"
Oh well, on over to check out the Clinton Street Dance.
Get down!
Watch that mister, Mister!
I knew it was bad idea to hop into that DeLorean. "Sure, I'd like a riiiiiii.... oh crap!"
Bonus points to anyone who can name this intersection! The building's still there, it's no longer a bakery but now a restaurant / sports bar.
Okay, Doc, Marty and I wired up two buildings, lucked into a lightning strike and the flux capacitor took us back home to 2010 Portland (phew!)...
Ha! Don't tempt the Jersey Guy. I don't know if I can pull a Nick Zukin and down 10 Whiffie's Fried Pies in 30 minutes, but I can sure as shit eat a large pie and then some in one sitting (looking down, wondering why I carry an extra 15 or so pounds these days...)!
Too hot to eat (again). Pick up a limeade instead...
Okay, time to head back down to Powell and catch the bus back home to Chavez.
Home, sweet home...
Guzzle water, nap. Crap, it's hotter in here than it is outside! Oh well, at least I have a cold shower and a kitchen ceiling fan here. That's something! :)
Bonus!
This shot is hilarious to me. Note that everyone is staring at the crowd straight ahead, while the politician found me and my camera off to the side! I guess what they say is true, heh. That's Portland City Commissioner Amanda Fritz, I love her though... :)
