Eddie C certainly would have grabbed a much better pic here, but regardless I think it's safe to say this cougar was much less interested in the blue ball on the ground than he was interested in eating the balls of the guy taking his picture here...

As for me... (8.25 / 4)
I'd love for the cowardly Frederick Clarkson to show up to debate me.

But I'm pretty sure he's a fucking pussy who's scared of interaction with actual liberals.

I'm gonna send him an email, though.

He really picked the wrong guy to fuck with here...

Pass me a bottle, Mr. Jones...

Email sent... (9.67 / 3)
We'll see what happens here.

And I'm eagerly awaiting that coward to send me a reply.

Pardon my French, but I will beat the everloving shit out of that douchebag if he ever even has the balls to show up here in Portland.

But honestly, I think he's a fucking coward who never will.

Regardless, the invitation has been sent,  and I'll post his "reply" (oh, sorry I can't make it to Portland but etc etc).

Excuses excuses.  I'll debate that asshat anywhere.

Pass me a bottle, Mr. Jones...

i think you're taking on-line waaaaay too seriously again.

i read that thread you pointed out. other ppl called him on being wrong about downrating you. & no-one rated his BS comments.

i think because you are personally involved through your girl with this group, you do know what you're talking about regarding them & yes the others have no clue.
i think sometimes (many times) the way you phrase things puts people off.... like that person taking affront to "cockroaches"... i think you sometimes "speak strongly" & while i, who have worked construction, understand this speech & can read between the lines, others (read: more well to do) have never lived in/dealt with the rough & tumble world we live in.... (have no grip on reality? their reality is different?) they don't know how to take what you say... & so fall back on the fuckers & bastards & cockroaches to take affront at and sidetrack what you're saying.
the more you push down the agressive speak inside yourself & present just your argument about a matter, i think the more you'll have people seeing your side & backing you up.
you can always come here to complain.
but this is just my view..... ymmv

Jay I agree (13.80 / 5)
here with Ria.

You are a wounded warrior, with eyes wide open seeing more clearly through pain that is not possible for others.

Yes, you're right... (15.00 / 2)
thank you.

And ffffgggghhhhhh!!!!

I just lost a massive comment by mistake, but I'll try my best to recreate it.

I know I can come off as an abrasive prick at times, and I try not to.  But sometimes I fail at that.  Anger isn't bad when it's used to push for good.

Imo, the biggest problem with "the left" in the US today is that it's run by politically correct* eggheads with no real life, real world experience.  I was in the trenches battling religious fanatics for my daughter's life, while that asshole and his ilk were clinking glasses at cocktail parties.  And he's gonna tell me that I just need to 'understand' them?!  Fuck them**, fuck their precious feelings and fuck their stupid ideas and failed theories.

We're emotional animals, and that's why radical right lunatics somehow manage to keep winning elections.  They don't do it on ideas, they do it on emotion.

During our (all too brief) progressive period in this country, we didn't win by being kind to fascists and right wing nuts.  Upton Sinclair wrote The Jungle, not The Jumble.  Robert LaFollette was "Fighting Bob", not "Shrinking Violet".

When the left finally stop being wimpy cowards, that's when we'll win.  And not a moment before.

And that's why I'm gonna run against Dan Saltzman for Portland City Commissioner in 2014.  Practice what I preach.  And I'll probably lose, but I'll go down fighting.  ;)

I'm tired of seeing my people being advised to act like spineless yellow-bellies***.

That's all I'm saying.

*yes, that can be a good thing sometimes - you've never seen me use a racist or sexist epithet, and I never will.  But where it crosses the line is when I'm scolded for calling a scumbag a scumbag.

**Okay yeah, here I go again :)

***I sound like a movie cowboy there, I like that ;)

I agree with (14.00 / 4)
Ria and Kathleen too Jay.

And I think it very telling that his comments went unrated.  IMO while you might not have changed his mind or thinking, others didn't agree with him.  There's some people you just can't get through to no matter what you say.

so ... (14.60 / 5)
that you understand completely.....
i'm not saying keep your mouth shut... just open it more wisely.
for example-
instead of saying cockroaches... these people who have an insidious way of creeping into a community & before you know it have taken over when/if we are not ever vigilant
or something like that. define the EXact idea you mean when using a term...
not only will it get your point accross better.... it'll give your brain something to work on other than anger.

Beautiful (15.00 / 5)
so beautiful in so many ways, I can feel the hush of this space.

I have never been there,it is now on my list.  The sculptures in the walkway to the Holocaust memorial is so effective with their message, wide open in the sunlight for all to see the ripping tragedy.
