No Te Rindas (don't give up)
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road we're on seems all uphill,
When our resources are low and debts are high,
And we want to smile but can only sigh,
When worries are pressing us down a bit,
Rest, if we must, but we cannot quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns,
As every one of us often learns.
But many setbacks could turn about,
When we might have succeeded had we stuck it out.
So don't give up though the pace seems slow,
Success could be around the corner, keep plowing the row.
Victory is simply failure turned inside out,
The silver hue in dark clouds of doubt -
While in the storm we can't tell how close we are,
A breakthrough may be near, though it seems so far.
That's why we must keep striving when we're hardest hit,
It's when things are at their worst that we cannot quit.

I hope my liberal translation of Emilia's poem does it justice. the words in Spanish are so beautiful, and I've turned to them many times for inspiration when things get a bit rough.
