A Desert Legend

A Small Woman of Grit Beyond Measure. Could tell that when I came upon her bones propped into a sit'n position. Her bleached fingers clutch'n a leather bound journal and a Hawkin 30 calibur rifle, rust'n aside her. In her lap o' bones lay her rock knife.

Sit'n in a rock'n chair and rock'n, is hard work, I want ya to know.

Crying in the Footprints

Mon Oct 24, 2011 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

A decade is a long time. Lives change and life ambles along. It has been this way since the beginning. Memories of what was, still haunts the soul, even after a decade and memories will continue to haunt until each takes their final breath.

I saw them climbing out of their Mercedes down at the corner. They were dressed to the "Nines."
Each had the "Book" cradled in their arms. They walked ramrod straight.

Four modern Templars marching unto the heathen poor.

Soak'n at the Caldera

by: WendysWink

Fri Oct 14, 2011 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

Might as well be honest. Fun to be naked in warm water, under a starry night sky.

Bones ached when I awoke. Thought it a good day to walk stick myself to the caldera and soak in the warm waters overnight. Helps to loosen up the joints a bit when the sunset years come knock'n.

by: WendysWink

Fri Oct 07, 2011 at 09:00:00 AM EDT

Lots of history to this old, battered, something of a village. Whiz Bang is a high desert mirage that blinked into the New Mexico Territories in 1815, when a rumor started that there were lots of rocks, sand and sticky-burr's awaiting exploitation, whiched caused people to wander in, get lost and forget to leave.
